Transcendent Artifacts

Tuesday, August 2, 2011
Suzannah Wainhouse approaches her work with a raw abandon, using her hands to guide her. As a visual artist, most of her jewelry is a handcrafted attempt to portray the mythical dreamworld in a tangible reality. Both her paintings and jewelry are textured - they have a mood and they seem to transcend the 2-dimensional world to connect with human emotion. Her jewelry pieces are sculptures, intricately molded so that the world can see something other than machine manufactured copy cat clones of simple design. Wainhouse's work is an artifact in itself, rich and primitive. Here's some of her Spring 2011 collection:

Check out more of her work here.
