Here we are - 13 days into 2013. Are you staying true to your resolutions?
I decided to be more liberal with mine this year. I just want to be a better person - work on becoming the best that I can be. We get ahead of ourselves trying to quantify goals and measure subjective success. When you vow to "go to the gym everyday," and you miss a day because you're sick, you feel as though you've failed. When you promise to "eat 5 vegetables a day," and you order pizza for dinner one night, you feel discouraged and give up. This year, I'm determined not to quantify my goals and to measure my success in happiness. If I am happy, I must be doing something right, right?

A much better attitude to have!! I made mine much more general this year to avoid the dips of dissapointment. Reading a quote like that a day also gets me through!

really like that post, really good quotes for the new year xx
You're so right! I gave up on my typical resolutions this year because they always get me down when I break them on day two in the New Year. So I'm eating all the chocolate I want and will only go for a run when I can feel that summer is around the corner!
Great post! E x
